Portion Plates and Containers

Plates and containers that are divided into sections provide a visual reminder of appropriate portion sizes. They can also remind individuals to eat foods from a variety of food groups. There are options designed for use at home as well as on-the-go. There are also container sets that include containers of varying serving sizes (e.g., 1 cup, 1/2 cup, etc.).

Reusable Containers for Condiments and Dressings

Small containers that hold 2 to 3 oz. can help with limiting the amounts of condiments and dressings an individual uses. Some containers are marketed to be used for condiments. There are also products called “dip clips” that attach to the side of a plate or bowl. Another option that may be less expensive is a set of baby food storage containers.
