Biography
Dr. Chicoine serves as the Medical Director of the Adult Down Syndrome Center. He co-founded the Center in 1992 and has dedicated his career to advancing healthcare for individuals with Down syndrome.
He is a faculty member with the Family Medicine Residency at Advocate Lutheran General Hospital and serves on the Board of the Down Syndrome Medical Interest Group-USA.
Dr. Chicoine has provided care for adults with intellectual disabilities for over 35 years and presented and written extensively on caring for adults with Down syndrome. While Dr. Chicoine no longer sees patients, he continues to work full time on research and education projects to share his knowledge and help improve health of all people with Down syndrome.
Hobbies and Interests:
Bicycling, walking, and spending time with family and grandchildren.
