If you do not live in Illinois, here are some helpful recommendations for finding a clinic in your area or healthcare professionals with experience in caring for individuals with Down syndrome:

Two national Down syndrome organizations maintain lists of Down syndrome clinics in the United States.

If there is a pediatric clinic near you that does not provide services for adults with Down syndrome, they may be able to recommend primary care professionals and specialists who see adults.

Contact a Local Organization

If you are not able to find a clinic in your area, we recommend reaching out to a local Down syndrome organization. They may be able to point you to health care professionals with experience in caring for individuals with Down syndrome and/or recommend professionals with whom they have had a good experience.

Information to Share with Your Doctor

If you are working with a new health care professional, we recommend that you share the information on our For Professionals page.
