This visual story discusses how to manage changes that may occur throughout our lives.
Story
In life, things change.
Change means that something is different than it was before.
Change happens every day.
Some changes are small changes, and some changes can be big changes.
I might have changes with my family, friends, where I live, and what I do during the day.
I might have changes with my health.
I might…
- Take a new medicine
- Eat more fruits and vegetables
- Drink more water
- Get better sleep
- Work on managing my emotions
- Get more physical activity
Change can be hard.
It can be hard because I like routine, or when things stay the same.
It is okay to feel worried or upset about changes.
When I have strong feelings, I can talk to a trusted adult, write about my feelings, or do something that I enjoy.
I have already been through changes in my life.
I can remind myself that change can be good and exciting.
Change is important to continue growing as a person. I can handle it!
If I have questions, I can ask a trusted adult for help.
